Essential Job Functions

  • Develop the design, PDFs, mass balances, and P&IDs for all projects

  • Watch over the detailed mechanical and electrical engineering for all projects

  • Develop and validate biogas production and substrate consumption for projects

  • Assist sales with the development of proposals and quotes for projects

  • Assist in the development of client relationships that will positively impact business opportunities

  • Review for approval the final plant/process design for each project

  • Consult and assist the Project Manager with design modifications during construction

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of technical, market and engineering knowledge relative to anaerobic digestion and other methods for producing renewable energy

  • Participate in and lead cross-functional business teams, as necessary

  • Research new processes/technologies/equipment to improve processes

  • Perform other duties and special projects as may be required

Competencies & Qualifications:

  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience including anaerobic digestion, wastewater and/or water reuse is a plus, experience with chemical plants, etc. is necessary

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical or other Process Engineering focused fields

  • Strong technical abilities

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing computer software including engineering analysis, financial spreadsheets, word-processing and database management programs

  • Comprehensive understanding of principles of engineering

  • Excellent knowledge of renewable energy concepts and technologies

  • Knowledge of legal environment regulating renewal energy sources

  • Willingness to travel and valid US passport required

  • Must be authorized to work for any company in the United States. Must not require sponsorship, or continued sponsorship to work for any company in the United States
