BIOFerm™ Energy Systems, Inc., a Madison-based renewable energy company, is looking for a full-time Marketing Communications Specialist. The position will allow for personal and professional growth by taking on new marketing/sales initiatives and responsibilities in a fast-paced renewable energy company.

Essential Job Functions

  • Plan for and manage the Marketing budget for tradeshows, advertising, memberships
    • Work collaboratively with Sales team to craft product/company selling points for literature, event talking points; ensure consistency in product/company descriptions
    • Ensure outgoing documents are accurate and adhere to Brand Corporate Identity
    • Write/proof content for website, press releases, blogs, company literature
    • Research industry topics, events, market segments, etc.
    • Interact and follow up with sales clientele
    • Create and push out advertisements
    • Aid with sales documents, including RFP responses
    • Track and analyze marketing and sales initiatives including pipeline, inquiries, etc.
    • Manage all aspects of company events: create show calendar, oversee booth design logistics, write presentation abstracts, coordinate colleague travel and participation, staff booth and interact with attendees
    • Create corporate presentations/ensure presentations created by others match company standards
    • Handle social media accounts (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter)
    • Brainstorm new marketing initiatives
    • Maintain and manage company memberships and organizations

• Self-driven to complete projects from start to finish
• Must work well in both team and solo settings
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or relevant field, or at least 3 years of similar experience
• Take lead on new project initiative
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good presentation skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize projects
• Eye for accuracy and consistency
• Organizationally savvy
• Exceptional research and analytical skills
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Power Point including the ability to learn new software as required
• Ability to use Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere) preferred
• Professional composure in all company contacts
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
• Valid US driver’s license
• Willingness to travel and valid US passport required
