Small-Scale Digester: EUCOlino

EUCOlino –  Small-Scale Digester

“We’re very excited to see this portable technology in the North American market. The EUCOlino caught our eye because it’s truly a plug-and-play unit that can be located near the source of the feedstocks. Its portability eases the challenges of permitting as well.” – Chief Environmental and Sustainability Officer at Cedar Grove Composting, Jerry Bartlett

Compact and small-scale, the EUCOlino anaerobic digester uses organic waste to create renewable energy and by-products at operations with limited amounts of biomass or smaller footprints.

EUCOlino is pre-manufactured and shipped from the supplier to arrive on site as a complete, pre-assembled containerized unit.

The system typically processes ~2,000 – 6,000 tons of organics per year, depending on project specifics. Extreme feedstock versatility and small size make EUCOlino ideal for a versatile range of waste operations, including:

  • Municipalities
  • Campuses
  • Composters
  • Wastewater treatment plants
  • Dairies
  • Zoos
  • Breweries

Advantages at a glance:

  • Easy installation and startup: EUCOlino is pre-manufactured, tested for safety and ready to operate upon delivery
  • Small footprint (slightly larger than a shipping container)
  • Flexible choice of feedstock
  • Well-proven EUCO technology, continuously improved since 1995
  • Profitability through: lower investment costs, lower costs for input materials, energy recovery

System components include: digester unit(s) with mixer(s),  technology container with CHP, pumps, desulfurization, mixer motor and plant controls, feeder for solid substrates (optional) and pre-digestion separator to thicken the feedstock to a higher solids content (optional).
