Every aspect of a BIOFerm™ plant is engineered to achieve optimal biogas output with minimal labor. The entire system is automated through a proprietary SPS process control and plant management systems, which continually monitor biogas and air quality to provide the highest level of production, reliability and safety.

BIOFerm™ biogas plants are designed around the core concept that organic input does not continual movement during anaerobic digestion. Instead, large fermentation chambers are loaded in batches and hold the volume of organic waste in air- and gas-tight anaerobic conditions. Piping systems move a liquid solution containing the micro-organisms necessary for digestion to the material. Large gas bags above the fermentation chambers in the roof collect biogas as it is generated. Storage for process materials as well as space for all mechanical, electrical and computer components are integrated into the plant facility. The façade can be customized to integrate with any type of surroundings. The plants are designed as modular solutions that are scalable according to the amount of waste that is available or how much energy production is desired.
