BIOFerm™ Energy Systems’ mission is to be the premier provider of clean renewable energy  solutions through the design and construction of BIOFerm™ biogas plants that recover energy from organic waste and biomass.

Established in 2007, BIOFerm™ Energy Systems is a renewable energy company that designs and constructs BIOFerm™ biogas plants in North America. It is a subsidiary of BIOFerm GmbH, Germany, and a member of the Viessmann Group.

BIOFerm™ delivers a wide array of turnkey energy solutions that use biomass and organic waste as the primary input. The BIOFerm™ technology produces high-quality biogas through a specialized industrial scale process. Biogas production from low cost organic waste streams enables customers to generate on-demand, carbon-neutral energy while controlling rising energy costs and reducing their carbon foot print.

BIOFerm™ developed its unique dry fermentation digestion system through extensive research and advanced development in collaboration with the University of Weihenstephan in Freising, Germany. Our system provides a valuable set of advantages for our clients, including carbon neutral energy production, system reliability, waste volume reduction, system simplicity, fully automated management control systems and energy expenditure savings. These attributes make our system ideal for heat and electric energy production solutions and waste management plans that integrate readily with our client’s industrial, corporate, agricultural, landfill, composting, institutional and real estate operations.

With 28 operational facilities worldwide and several coming online each year, BIOFerm™ provides a high level of experience in the development of economically and socially valuable energy solutions.
