True Cost of Renewable Energy?

Renewable Energy World has been doing some analysis on the true cost of renewable energy versus traditional fossil fuel sources.  While it’s commonly perceived that renewable energy comes with an outrageous price tag, the analyses conclude that “clean energy is not nearly as expensive as we are commonly led to believe.”  As costs for technologies such as solar PV and wind are consistently coming down, other forms of energy are becoming more costly, not merely from a price standpoint but from other factors such as climate change implications, oil spills, and incidents around natural gas fracking sites.  As more renewable technologies are deployed and becoming cost competitive, America needs to decide what price they are willing to pay for their energy needs.  To see the original article, please click here.
