A recent article in the Wall Street Journal pointed out that Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) is in favor of giving federal tax breaks to dairy farmers who install anaerobic digesters.  He mentioned the energy bill in the works in Congress that could incentivize the technology and allow for more systems to be built to produce a consistent, baseload power supply of biogas to be converted to electricity and heat.
