Exciting renewable energy development around the world

Peru has announced plans to add 200 MW of renewable energy through six new projects in 2012. There will be three wind farms and three solar power plants, which will be located throughout the country. According to the Ministry of Energy and Mines’ director of electricity, Ismael Aragon, there is also a possible hydroelectric project in the works, which is due to deliver a feasibility study soon. It’s great to see other countries exploring the possibilities that renewable energy can provide. Hopefully the U.S. can continue to develop projects with the same enthusiasm.
