EPA Proposes Mandatory GHG Reporting

EPA Proposes Mandatory GHG Reporting

- March 11th, 2009

The US EPA has proposed a mandatory GHG reporting rule that would cover 85-90% of total US GHG emissions which come from 13,000 facilities. The facilities that would be required to report emissions include fossil fuel suppliers, industrial chemical manufacturers, vehicle and vehicle motor manufacturers, and other sources that emit more than 25,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent per year. The first reports that would be required in 2011, covering emissions from 2010. For more information, check out the EPA website and see a fact sheet here.
