A Stand-Alone Renewable Energy Bill

Several U.S. Senators are working together on a new stand-alone renewable energy standard bill. This bill would require companies that sell electricity to reach certain goals for the addition of power generated from renewable energy sources, including wind, solar, geothermal, biomass, and others. The percentages aren’t huge (15% of electricity generated from renewable energy sources by 2039), but this would be an important step for sustainable energy. For the full article, please click here.
