2010’s Largest Renewable Energy Projects

- January 4th, 2011

2010 was a year of record-breaking renewable energy projects.  The editors of Renewable Energy World list the most impressive projects world-wide. North America hosts the largest new projects in the area of onshore wind energy, the Roscoe Wind Farm in Texas, and the largest new photovoltaic power plant, the Sarnia plant in Ontario. The brisk development of the biomass to energy sector in 2010 makes it difficult to keep track of it globally, according to Renewable Energy World. Within the US, several large biomass projects were completed. Although no digester plant is among the three largest new biomass facilities, BIOFerm is looking forward to going online with the first of its kind dry fermentation anaerobic digester in 2011 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
