The Milwaukee Brewers recently announced a new sustainability initiative, “Brewing a Greener Game,” which will be kicked off with their “Green Week” June 20-26. They have been working with Johnson Controls to increase their recycling rates and energy efficiency. City of Milwaukee Director of Sustainability Matt Howard said “the Brewers demonstrate that it’s possible to take actions that are good for business and the environment. We hope that businesses and households throughout the City of Milwaukee follow the Brewers example to make a more sustainable city.”
Each day of “Green Week” will consist of various environmentally friendly activities, including a day for fans to drop off unwanted electronic equipment to be recycled and a tree planting program. It is great to see such a visible organization encouraging sustainability! To read more, click here.
